Daily Photo Game – First 6

Daily Photo Game Begins! May 1st

OK – myself and 9 other professional photographers, from across the US, have started an online game. The web site is “dailyphotogame.com”. For the next year (until May 1st 2014) one photographer each day will post an image that we’ve shot that must relate in some way to the previous image posted the day before. It could relate to the previous photo in any way so the starting image and the one, 1 year from now should be lifetimes apart. We can’t wait to see what happens next. Let us know what you think. It’s happening Now -We hope everyone enjoys it!

2012 – “Festival of Arts” artist, Tom Swimm

I’ve just completed Shooting, Compositing, and Producing Portraits of – Artists from the prestigious Laguna “Festival of Arts” in Laguna Beach, California. These will be hung in a special, in-house gallery of the Ritz Carlton/Laguna Niguel.

The 2012 show at the Ritz, curated by Donna Bond, was such a success I’ve produced a totally new gallery of portraits for the 2013 season (May 23rd through the end of August).

Images of the artists will be posted on this blog, my facebook page and my web site (charleyakersphoto.com), one each week, beginning the day after the May 23rd media reception at the Ritz.

Desert Paradise – everyone in the pool!

I was called by Carla Howard from Desert Magazine in Palm Springs, CA – to shoot a cover shot for their November 2011 issue. The result was a location shoot at La Quinta Resort & Spa’s main pool. The location was breath taking, the La Quinta staff could not have been more helpful, Styling by Carla Howard helped to make the shot, and the model – Carol Horton was the perfect choice. All this, not to mention our 350 days of sun each year, combined to create an unforgettable image!
